What we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us through our enquiry and contact forms: your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method, country, group size, travel dates and anything else you tell us about your trip.

We also collect limited technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and — only if you accept analytics cookies — anonymous information about how you use the website.

Newsletter sign-ups

If you sign up to our newsletter we store your email address, the date you subscribed and the language version of the site you used. We use it only to send you occasional Atlantic Golf Breaks emails, including Algarve golf news, travel and planning advice, company updates, relevant offers and other content related to golf holidays and experiences that we believe may be of interest to you. The lawful basis is your consent.

We never sell or share newsletter addresses with third parties for their own marketing. Your address is held in the same access-controlled system as our enquiry data, and is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email or by emailing info@atlanticgolfbreaks.com, and we will delete your address from the list.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and, if you book, to arrange and deliver your trip. The lawful basis is the steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and performance of that contract.

Where we use analytics to improve the website, the lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie settings.

Who we share it with

To arrange your trip we share the details necessary with the suppliers involved — for example golf courses, hotels, transfer companies and activity providers. We share only what those suppliers need.

We also use service providers who host this website and store enquiry data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to two years so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Booking records are kept for as long as required by Portuguese accounting and tax law.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@atlanticgolfbreaks.com.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or to the supervisory authority in your own country.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS and enquiry data is held in access-controlled storage. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
