The golf
Vilamoura has several established courses within a very short drive of each other, with a genuine range of character between them: pine-lined parkland, more open layouts and a couple of proper tests for lower handicappers.
That variety is the point. A group playing four rounds in five days will enjoy a mix far more than four rounds of the same style.
Where to stay
The choice runs from large resort hotels to apartments near the marina and private villas for groups who want more space and privacy. For groups, the deciding factor is usually walking distance to the evening, along with a room configuration that works for everyone. For larger or premium groups we can also arrange luxury villas with services such as a private chef.
The marina in the evening
The marina is what tips Vilamoura for most groups. Restaurants, bars and a walk back to the hotel, with no logistics to arrange after dinner.
Booking ahead still matters for groups, particularly at weekends.
Transfers and getting around
Faro airport is a short, straightforward transfer away, and once you are in Vilamoura most of the golf is only a few minutes down the road. We arrange professional, reliable private transport throughout.

Every trip we arrange is different, but if you're looking for inspiration, a five-night Vilamoura break could look something like this. A pattern that works for most groups: arrive and settle, then play on the following mornings with the afternoons free. We can arrange the dinners for every evening of the trip, and leave an afternoon or two for something away from the course. A private yacht sized to your group, with an all-inclusive drinks package and live music on board, is one of our clients' favourites.
- Day 1: Arrival, transfer and a relaxed dinner near the marina
- Day 2: Golf in the morning, afternoon free
- Day 3: Golf in the morning, afternoon on the water or another experience
- Day 4: Golf in the morning, group dinner in the evening
- Day 5: Final round or a slower morning, last evening in the marina
- Day 6: Free morning depending on flight times, then the transfer to Faro
